Annual Pathways of Peace: Kuriakos Retreat Camp

The Annual Pathways of Peace: A Muslim-Christian Retreat was a truly inspiring weekend filled with meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and lasting connections. Held from June 12–14, 2026 at the peaceful Kuriakos Camp in Lacombe County, the retreat brought together people of different faiths to strengthen relationships built on understanding, respect, and friendship.

Throughout the weekend, participants engaged in thoughtful discussions, moments of reflection, and interactive activities that encouraged open dialogue and genuine connection. From sharing meals around the table to exchanging personal stories, every moment reminded us that our common values of compassion, kindness, and service are stronger than our differences.

Families, youth, and community members all played an important role in creating a welcoming and joyful atmosphere. The laughter during activities, the conversations that continued long after each session ended, and the friendships formed over the course of the weekend reflected the true spirit of the retreat.

The beautiful setting of Kuriakos Camp provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and renewal. Surrounded by nature, participants were able to step away from the busyness of daily life and focus on listening, learning, and building meaningful relationships with one another.
